Overview

• An aspect is defined as the interaction of any of Sunoco’s operations, activities, products, and services with the environment, employees, and/or community.

• An Aspect Identification Team (AIT), appointed by Senior Staff, identifies the aspects based on the professional knowledge and experience of team members.

• An aspect is considered significant based upon a combination of the risks posed and the legal status of the aspect.

• Significant aspects must be managed with the operational controls necessary to comply with the Operations Excellence Management System (OEMS) policy.

• The output of this process is a summary of the aspects, their impact, and the basis for determining their significance.

• Aspects are to be reviewed and approved annually by the Aspect Identification Team (AIT) and Senior Management.
